Fall is one of our favorite times of year to take portraits. The changing colors provides a stunning backdrop, the warm blankets make for a cozy feel, and football games bring loved ones together. How could you not love fall?
When we first met with Bridget and Alex, the coffee shop we suggested just happened to be the one below the building they lived in. That was a good sign that our collaboration was meant to be! They told us the story of their engagement session on the banks of a river in their hometown of Cadott. They landed their canoe on the banks of some family land and Alex got down on one knee and professed his unwavering love for his high school sweetheart.
We fell in love with the story so much that we brainstormed recreating that magic for their engagement photo session! These two share an incredible passion that shines brightly in these photos. Coupled with the landscape and seasonal backdrop, it was almost impossible to take a bad picture!
We parked our car just off of a gravel road and hopped into their 4x4 Chevy for an adventure through pastures and creeks. After hopping a couple of fences, we emerged at the glowing riverbank where the latest chapter of their love story started.
They had the canoe they paddled in on that day available to use again for the shoot. We had a lot of fun having them paddle around for pictures and we even got in with them to get out on the river too.
The farmland around the river was equally stunning!
Thank you both for sharing your love story with us all! We had such a great time getting to know you two. Your wedding day is surely going to be true celebration of love!
