You did it! You’re married! The wedding of your dreams went off without a hitch and you had the time of your lives! You may be off to your honeymoon, a staycation, or getting settled back into your lives, now newlyweds. As soon as we get home, we begin our import process. We upload all of your photos from our memory cards onto our computer. This import is then backed up to our cloud storage for everything-proof safekeeping. We put the memory cards into a safe to be stored as the source of truth until your images are safely delivered.

We work though our queue chronologically, completing each wedding one at a time for consistency and organization. We aim for 2-3 weeks for delivery. Our first step is culling, where we go through all of the images we took and pick out the best one of each moment. We like to provide variety, but not an overwhelming amount, but rest assured, no good moment is left on the cutting room floor. We love our candids, snapshots of guests, and other random fun things we capture throughout the day.

Once culled down, we begin our first pass of editing, which focuses on exposure, white balance, color correction, and cropping. We also merge any panoramic photo we took. The main objective on this first pass is going for general consistency in look throughout the day. After the first pass is complete, we always take a break from the screen. We like to begin our second editing pass with fresh eyes, you’d be surprised how mentally exhausting making thousands of micro decisions with sliders in Lightroom can be! In this second pass we’re refining our work for total consistency, blemish removal, and the occasional face swap if we have blinks in the family formals (one reason to shoot a lot, it gives us backup in a case like this!).

Once we feel happy with our completed work, we begin the export/upload process to your online gallery. Once that’s up, we’ll email you with a link and a download button to save your images to your computer. Your online gallery can be shared with friends and family by either forwarding the email or sharing the link. We’ll also send the gallery to anyone who signed up to receive it on our iPad that we had out during your reception. This online gallery is connected with a professional print lab that we know and trust. Printing is the final step toward your images becoming tangible things, and not all printers are created equal. Do your photos the justice they deserve!

We envision the final result of our work in album form, a beautiful, tangible, book you can set on a coffee table or bookshelf and share the story of your day with others. We provide you all of your images on the online gallery and USB drive, if your package included it, but as we all know and have an example of in our pockets, digital images tend to get lost in the abyss of data. After all the wedding dust settles, we frequently hear that people are just out of energy to make any more decisions. We’re more than happy to take this task off of your hands. For you, album creation can be as simple as picking our your favorite ~50 images from your gallery, and letting us design it for you.  We work with a professional album company called Kiss. They’re lovely, heirloom quality albums that will be passed down for generations. We’ve tried out Article and similar consumer facing companies, and they really don’t even compare.
